About the Role

We are offering a rare and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to step into a Trainee Registered Manager role in our brand-new, specialist 2-bedded children's home in Telford (TF2). This home will support children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and complex needs in a nurturing, therapeutic environment.
With the full support of our senior leadership team, we will guide and mentor you through the Ofsted registration process and support your development into a confident, effective Registered Manager.

Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with senior management to prepare for Ofsted registration
* Develop leadership skills while overseeing the daily running of the home
* Support and manage a small, dedicated staff team
* Ensure the home meets all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
* Support in creating tailored care plans and behaviour management strategies
* Promote a therapeutic, nurturing environment for children with LD and complex needs
* Develop partnerships with families, social workers, and other professionals
* Contribute to recruitment, staff development, and home management tasks
* Uphold the rights, dignity, and voice of every child in your care
Who This Role is Ideal For
* Current Deputy Manager, Senior Support Worker, or Team Leader in a children's residential setting
* Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, or additional needs
* Ready to become Ofsted registered with the right training and support
* Passionate about delivering high standards of care and leading a strong team
* Committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare – Essential
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership (or willingness to enrol) – Required
* Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
