Belmont Recruitment is currently working with a Liverpool-based local authority to recruit an experienced SEND Caseworker to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
This is a 3 month temporary contract working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities

Support schools, settings, services and families to apply the graduated approach to meeting the needs of pupils with SEND
*
Coordinate the statutory assessment process for children and young people with SEND
*
Manage the Education, Health and Care (EHC) planning process from assessment through to placement and review
*
Ensure all statutory timescales are met when drafting and maintaining EHC Plans
*
Review and monitor pupil progress against agreed outcomes
*
Work closely with SENCos, headteachers, and education settings to provide advice and practical support
*
Liaise with internal and external partners including Educational Psychology, SENISS, Occupational Therapy, Health, Children’s and Adult Social Care
*
Attend annual reviews for vulnerable pupils, including Looked After Children, those in Continuing Care, and pupils at risk of exclusion
*
Ensure children and young people are central to all planning and review processes
*
Support placements within Liverpool maintained settings wherever possible
Candidate Requirements
*
Recent experience working within an education or Children’s Services environment, ideally as a SEND Caseworker / SEND Officer
