To provide a highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and a range of interventions for groups or individuals. Using highly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and recognised models of practice in order to maintain a high-quality service and develop services as required.
To work as part of the health team based at Clayfields House and to work closely with both the Operational Lead and the Physical Healthcare Lead. To work alongside Clayfields House care staff to implement the secure stairs framework and take a role in supporting case management of Children and Young People.

The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), and this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You will work within a multidisciplinary team providing care and treatment to children and young people with complex needs and behaviours residing in a Secure Children's Home (SCH). The role includes specialist assessments, formulation, advice, consultation, education, and signposting to young people, their families/carers, and other MDT members.

Responsibilities include managing and developing specialist assessments, treatment plans, and interventions for a complex caseload using a person-centred approach. Planning, organizing, and monitoring complex therapy programs, utilizing core and specialist OT skills to meet individual needs, and using appropriate assessment tools to evaluate needs and outcomes.
You will provide expert clinical advice, promote the OT role, contribute to service development, and alert managers to resource issues impacting service delivery to identify gaps and develop action plans.
