Maintenance Engineer – Milton Keynes
Ralph Coleman International, part of the IFCO group, invites applications for a Maintenance Engineer role at our Milton Keynes tray wash facility. The company is investing millions in new equipment and automation starting January 2026.
The selected candidate will be accountable for ensuring the throughput and maintenance of the tray washing process machinery, maintaining full and reliable production capability, and monitoring CCPs for the wash process.
Working independently, you will cover a 12‑hour shift from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on a rotating days‑and‑nights schedule.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure efficient operation of tray washing process and equipment to limit unplanned downtime.
* Maintain condition and reliability of production equipment, ensuring safety guards and requirements.
* Identify potential issues early, mitigating risks, and plan long‑term fixes after short‑term repairs.
* Maintain high quality of work, testing and checking after completion to avoid repeated returns.
* Operate with minimal supervision and rectify issues promptly.
* Identify and act on continuous improvement opportunities within the process.
* Record and monitor quality process parameters (TF024), report issues promptly.
* Perform preventative maintenance correctly and keep accurate records.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team, communicating issues across shifts.
* Work with the machine minder, ensuring clear communication between engineering and operations.
Qualifications
* Electrical engineering qualification with time‑served apprenticeship and 5 years experience in an automation environment (preferred).
