Job Description:
We have a number of vacancies nationwide within our Wakefield branch. The role of Apprentice Service Engineer is to learn to deliver and manage high standards of customer service on a daily basis for the branch. The role involves direct interaction and telecommunication with customers, visitors, other Windsor branches and the branch sales and service teams. Responsibilities will also include ensuring that the branch remains well presented at all times. There may also be times where you are asked to work with other members of Windsor staff under their supervision. Any tasks will be reasonable and within the scope of your knowledge and abilities to help yourself develop, from simple cleaning of trucks or parts to help in rebuilding of major components or truck refurbishments.
Customers
* Provide local after-sales service support to customers in your area
* You will follow the safety process and ensure safe working practices at all times
Branch
* You will be responsible for good housekeeping within the workshop.
* Ensuring safe working practices.
Engineers
* The service and maintenance of diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment.
* Fault finding, planned maintenance and pre delivery inspections of forklift trucks.
* Ensuring customer service is kept to a high level and any queries are addressed.
* Adhering to safety guidelines set and all policies set out by customers and Windsor Materials Handling Ltd.
* Ensuring the company vehicle is maintained to a high standard (if applicable).
* Ensuring all equipment and tools are maintained.
* You will be responsible for accurately completing all paperwork promptly.
* Ensuring customer relationships are maintained and developed through high standard of service.
* Must be flexible as some overtime maybe required.
* Call out rota as required (if applicable).
Parts
* Relay accurate and comprehensive information to the parts department.
