An independent Accountancy practice are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their established team. The Accounts Assistant will be joining a close knit accountancy team where you will benefit from hybrid working (two days per week, once established in the role). Our client will consider full time or four days per week. The Accounts Assistant will be well versed in preparing VAT returns, Bookkeeping and analysis work. It would be beneficial if you have gained experience using cloud based packages including, QuickBooks, Xero and Sage. It would be highly advantageous if you have gained Accounts preparation work too. Accounts Assistant duties and responsibilities; Preparing and submitting VAT returns using cloud based software. Bookkeeping duties. Processing invoices and receipts. Bank reconciliations. Reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts. Liaising with Clients as and when required and providing a superior service. Preparing financial accounts to trial balance and beyond. Assisting colleagues as and when required. Maintain confidentiality regarding financial information. Ability to adapt to new accounting software or technologies. Four days per week will be considered as well as full time hours. Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
