HR Adviser - Health, Wellbeing & Engagement Location: Portadown (with travel across NI) Client: Libraries NI ⏳ Temporary Agency Assignment: Until 31 December 2026 Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) Pay Rate: £22.82 per hour About the Role Our client, Libraries NI, a large multi-site public sector organisation, is seeking an experienced HR Adviser (Health, Wellbeing & Engagement) to join their Business Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in promoting employee wellbeing, supporting attendance management, and contributing to HR policies and initiatives across a diverse workforce. Key Responsibilities Provide expert HR advice to managers on employee wellbeing, attendance, and best practice Support the management of sickness absence, including mental health and long-term conditions Deliver confidential support and guidance to employees facing personal or work-related challenges Contribute to the development and implementation of health & wellbeing policies and initiatives Analyse and present HR data (e.g. absence trends, wellbeing metrics) using HR systems and Excel Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including occupational health providers Support employee engagement initiatives and organisational change programmes Supervise HR support staff and assist with recruitment processes where required Essential Criteria Applicants must demonstrate: A relevant third-level qualification or CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) AND Minimum 3 years' recent HR/Health & Wellbeing experience OR 5 years' relevant HR experience Experience Experience of working collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on managing attendance and sickness absence issues Experience in the development, analysis and presentation of Management Information reports using Microsoft Excel to support organisational performance Knowledge & Skills Proven knowledge and application of employment legislation, statutory obligations and equality requirements within a large and multi-site organisation Additional Requirements Applicants must have access to a suitable vehicle (appropriately maintained and insured for business use) or other suitable transport to fulfil the requirements of the role Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs, including occasional evening or weekend work * A large organisation is defined as one employing 100 staff, operating across multiple functions and sites.
