THE ROLE
Auto Express seeks a dynamic and experienced Editor-at-Large with a passion for cars, exceptional writing skills, and extensive industry knowledge. The role involves shaping our editorial voice, producing high-quality content, and representing Auto Express at industry events.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Write in-depth features, reviews, opinion pieces, and news articles on automotive topics.
2. Develop and execute content strategies with the editorial team.
3. Attend industry events, car launches, and press briefings to gather insights and build relationships.
4. Represent Auto Express in media appearances, interviews, and discussions.
5. Collaborate with editors, writers, photographers, and digital teams to ensure content quality.
6. Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to keep Auto Express at the forefront.
7. Engage with readers via social media and other platforms to foster community.
8. Mentor and develop junior team members.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1. At least 10 years of experience in automotive journalism or related fields, with a strong portfolio.
2. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
3. Understanding of SEO and digital content strategies.
4. Deep knowledge of the automotive industry, trends, and key players.
5. Established industry contacts and relationship-building skills.
6. Willingness to travel frequently.
7. Genuine enthusiasm for cars and the automotive industry.
