Commercial Gas Engineer (Education Authority - Armagh) Client An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client's team, supporting remedial maintenance works across Education Authority schools and colleges throughout Armagh and the surrounding region. This is a secure, long-term position offering a 37.5-hour working week, a company van and regular local travel within a stable public-sector maintenance contract. The Ideal Person We are interested in candidates who hold commercial gas tickets and have experience carrying out remedial repairs on gas boilers, heating systems and associated pipework. You will demonstrate strong fault-finding ability and confidence working independently, with an understanding of compliance within public-sector or FM environments. A proactive, customer-focused approach and a full UK driving licence are essential. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking remedial repairs and corrective works on commercial gas systems, replacing components, repairing faults and resolving issues identified during inspections, supporting the safe operation of heating systems across schools and colleges, maintaining accurate job sheets, compliance records and associated paperwork, ensuring all work meets Gas Safety, Health & Safety and contract requirements, and liaising with Totalis engineers, the helpdesk and site staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Remuneration The role offers a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, a 37.5-hour working week, company van and fuel card, company pension scheme, 28 days annual leave including bank holidays, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
