We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Compliance Manager (Band 7) to join our Regulation and Compliance Team on the Bank. This role is pivotal in ensuring our Trust maintains robust frameworks that support compliance with regulatory body standards (such as the Care Quality Commission) and Accreditations (such as Ward Accreditation), while fostering continuous improvement. If you are interested in developing your knowledge and experience in Corporate Governance and compliance, this role is for you. The successful candidate will be supported to develop their knowledge and skills in the delivery of this role. This role is initially part time with a view to extend to full time Advert As a Quality Compliance Manager, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we meet all regulatory and accreditation requirements. You will play a key role in: ✅ Providing assurance on regulatory and accreditation compliance. ✅ Supporting and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies. ✅ Responding to regulatory enquiries and coordinating inspections. ✅ Implementing and monitoring action plans post-inspection. ✅ Producing high-quality reports and compliance updates for leadership. ✅ Managing relevant meetings, Agendas, Minutes, Action Logs Working for our organisation Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of more than 410,000 people living in North-West Surrey, parts of Hounslow and beyond. For more information about a career at ASPH please visit: www.asph-careers.org Detailed job description and main responsibilities Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance (Operational) · Coordinate the Trust’s day ‑ to ‑ day regulatory compliance activity, ensuring systems, trackers, and evidence repositories are accurate and up to date. · Support the maintenance of key regulatory documentation including the Statement of Purpose, registered locations, and regulatory notifications. · Coordinate and monitor responses to regulatory requests and enquiries, ensuring submissions are timely, accurate, and quality ‑ assured. · Maintain central logs and action trackers for regulatory actions, inspections, external reviews, and recommendations. · Support the preparation and organisation of regulatory visits, including schedules, evidence collation, interviews, and logistics. · Support compliance with Trust policies and procedures by coordinating assurance activity, supporting services to provide evidence of implementation, and identifying gaps for escalation where standards are not met. Inspection Readiness & Internal Assurance · Coordinate internal quality assurance activity, including mock inspections, quality walkarounds, and self ‑ assessment exercises, in line with agreed frameworks. · Support services to prepare high ‑ quality evidence that meets regulatory standards and expectations. · Review and quality ‑ assure compliance evidence prior to submission, escalating risks or gaps to the Head of Quality & Regulation. · Assist in the monitoring of action plans following inspections or reviews, supporting services to demonstrate progress and learning. · Support the triangulation of quality intelligence from multiple sources (including audits, incidents, inspection findings and patient feedback) to inform assurance activity and escalation. · Identify and escalate quality and regulatory risks in line with Trust risk management processes, supporting services to articulate risks clearly and ensuring timely escalation to senior quality leaders where required. Advice, Guidance & Interpretation · Provide specialist advice to services on regulatory and quality standards, explaining requirements clearly and pragmatically. · Interpret national guidance, standards, and frameworks, highlighting implications for operational delivery. · Support clinical and corporate teams to embed regulatory expectations into everyday practice. · Escalate emerging risks, themes, or areas of concern to senior quality leaders in a timely manner. Reporting, Information & Committees · Prepare high ‑ quality written reports, dashboards, summaries, and briefings for internal meetings and Committees. · Coordinate and administer quality and compliance meetings as assigned, including agendas, action logs, papers, and minutes. · Ensure actions arising from quality and compliance meetings are accurately captured, tracked and progressed in line with agreed governance arrangements. · Support the production of data and narrative reports for senior leaders, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and professional presentation. · Assist with the collation of information for Board and sub ‑ Board reporting (without Board ‑ level accountability). Training & Capacity Building · Support the delivery of Trust ‑ wide training and briefings on quality and regulatory requirements. · Contribute to corporate induction and targeted learning sessions related to compliance and inspection readiness. · Share learning and best practice across teams to improve organisational understanding of quality and regulation. Continuous Improvement & Learning · Support improvement work arising from inspections, incidents, audits, claims, and patient feedback. · Support internal quality reviews and audits of processes and systems, contributing to assurance and organisational learning. · Contribute to learning reviews and the dissemination of themes and improvements. · Support the Head of Quality & Regulation in maintaining an overview of organisational compliance maturity. Professional & Team Contribution · Work collaboratively across the Quality Team to deliver shared objectives. · Provide cross ‑ cover and support during periods of absence or increased demand. · Maintain personal professional development and specialist knowledge in quality and regulation. · Act at all times in accordance with Trust values, policies, and governance standards. · Support continuity of quality assurance and regulatory compliance activity during periods of operational pressure, including inspections or surge events, through flexible working and effective prioritisation.
