We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Technology Engineering team at Greggs as a QA Engineer to drive innovative, greenfield products that enhance both digital and in-store experiences.
Working in an agile, cross-functional team, you'll help to ensure the quality and safe delivery of scalable, secure platforms supporting key digital solutions like click & collect, retail systems, and digital order fulfilment ensuring a seamless experience for millions of customers daily.

About the role
17. This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

What you'll do
20. Collaborate with cross-functional squad members to define and refine acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
21. Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test suites for front-end, and API layers.
22. Write and maintain robust, reusable test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
23. Conduct exploratory, performance, and accessibility testing across multiple environments.
24. Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast feedback and continuous delivery.
25. Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
26. Advocate for quality throughout the product lifecycle, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
27. Monitor and report on test coverage, defects, and release readiness – utilise test data to build comprehensive reports to help continuous improvement.
28. Support the squad in troubleshooting and reproducing issues found in production.
29. Maintain awareness of the changing security landscape, always considering levels of risk and promote the importance of following security best practices
30. Stay up to date on emerging test technologies, frameworks and industry trends to drive test efficiencies and advancements within the team
About you
You'll fit right into this role if you have:
31. 2+ years of experience in both manual and automation software testing or QA engineering.
32. Experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Cypress, or Selenium IDE.
33. Proficiency in API testing tools ( Postman).
34. Experience in AI LLMs such as ChatGPT and Claude to support
35. Familiarity with CI/CD tools ( Azure DevOps).
36. Some experience with programming languages such asC#, Dart, JavaScript and Python.
37. Solid knowledge of testing principles, defect tracking, and test case management.
38. Experience in accessibility and performance testing.
39. Experience of cloud platforms ( Azure).
40. Good understanding of agile methodologies and working in digital product squads.
41. Good knowledge of the full software delivery life cycle, working closely with engineers to drive efficiencies.
42. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
It's not essential, but we'd love to hear if you have the following:
43. Hands-on experience with Flutter test automation.
44. Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android).
45. Understanding of cost management principles when working with cloud services.
46. Experience working with logging and monitoring tools to ensure reliability of services within a distributed system.
47. ISTQB, CPTA or equivalent qualification.
