I run a GST-registered property maintenance and handyman business in Western Australia.
I'm looking for an experienced Xero bookkeeper to manage monthly reconciliation and assist with BAS preparation support.
This is ongoing, long-term work for the right person.
Scope of Work:
• Bank feed reconciliation in Xero
• Receipt processing using Hubdoc
• Accurate expense categorisation
• Correct Australian GST coding
• Setup of bank rules & automation
• Monthly reporting summary
• BAS-ready file each quarter (accountant lodges)
Business Profile:
Sole trader (GST registered)
Service-based (labour + materials)
100–200 transactions per month
Fuel, materials, consumables, supplier purchases
All transactions flow into Xero
Requirements (Must Have):
Strong Xero experience (minimum 2+ years)
Experience working with Australian clients
Solid understanding of Australian GST treatment
Able to explain BAS labels (G1, 1A, 1B)
Experience with Hubdoc
Strong attention to detail
Important:
Maximum budget: $20 AUD per hour (including Upwork fees).
Expected hours:
Initial cleanup: estimate required in proposal
Ongoing: approx. 3–5 hours per month
