An established all‑girls secondary school in the Liverpool area is seeking a motivated and fully qualified Maths Teacher to join its dedicated team on a maternity cover contract starting after the Easter break. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high‑quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Support students in achieving excellent progress, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, participation, and achievement.
Implement strong behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s reputation for positive conduct and respectful relationships.
Assess student work regularly, providing effective feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and maintain the department’s high standards.
Contribute positively to the school’s strong culture of support, wellbeing, and academic ambition.
Person Specification
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 4.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and confidently.
Effective behaviour management and a commitment to high classroom standards.
A passion for supporting young women to achieve in Mathematics and grow in confidence.
Desirable
Experience working in an all‑girls secondary school environment.
Familiarity with GCSE Maths exam specifications and assessment requirements.
