Overview
Quality Engineer position based in Wrexham. The role supports a reputable multinational manufacturing organisation with a global presence, strong operational efficiency, and a track record of on‑time delivery. The role involves ensuring technical compliance, driving continuous improvement, quality problem solving, preparing quality documentation and internal/supplier auditing as required. The role represents the business to a diverse aerospace customer base and manages non-conformances through the company QMS using a range of software.
Responsibilities
* Ensure technical compliance and drive continuous improvement activities within the quality function.
* Contribute to quality problem solving and prepare quality documentation.
* Perform internal and supplier audits as required.
* Manage non-conformances through the company QMS and utilise applicable software tools.
* Represent the business to a diverse aerospace customer base on a day-to-day basis.
* Engage effectively with internal stakeholders, external customers and suppliers as required.
* Demonstrate great prioritisation, methodical and organised work practices in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
* Ideally educated to HNC/HND/Degree level in engineering or science-based discipline.
* Experience in a manufacturing setting as a quality engineer or process engineer.
* Demonstrable experience with quality and data analysis tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, APQP, Pareto, SPC, CpK, Six Sigma) and root cause analysis.
* Knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP desirable.
* Some knowledge of SAP ERP highly desirable.
* Strong analytical and statistical skill set.
* Ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
* Collaborative team player with good communication and organisational skills.
