Carbon Reduction Manager — Location: Derby
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Package | Sector: Construction & Civil Engineering

We’re working with a leading construction and civil engineering contractor renowned for delivering landmark projects across the UK, and they are now looking to appoint a Carbon Reduction Manager to take ownership of their journey to Net Zero.
This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to make a real impact with an organisation that’s committed to sustainability and innovation in infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Develop and lead the company’s carbon reduction strategy in line with Net Zero targets
* Identify and implement initiatives to reduce carbon emissions across business units and projects
* Monitor and report on carbon performance, compliance and environmental KPIs
* Collaborate with clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams to embed sustainable practices
* Stay informed of evolving legislation, technologies and industry best practices
* Promote a culture of carbon awareness and environmental responsibility
About You
* A proven track record in a similar carbon or sustainability-focused role within the construction or civil engineering sector
* Experience developing and executing carbon reduction or Net Zero strategies
* Strong knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, carbon reporting standards and tools
* A relevant degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering or related field ()
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
