We are in search of a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will lead and collaborate with a team, bringing extensive experience and expertise to drive the analysis and interpretation of data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire MLOps pipeline, implementing advanced statistical and machine learning models. Responsibilities: Lead the management of large datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity. Lead data aggregation, cleaning, and structuring initiatives. Analyse and interpret data to identify opportunities and trends, communicating findings and insights to key stakeholders effectively. Oversee and contribute to all facets of the MLOps pipeline. Lead the development and implementation of AI/statistical models using advanced Machine Learning algorithms. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into innovative data-driven solutions. Work closely with co-founders as part of the ML algorithmic research team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues. Advocate for others and champion diversity and inclusion and advocate for colleagues and their individual needs Requirements: Masters’ degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in data science or a related field. Extensive expertise in statistics, Machine Learning, and programming. Proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant languages. Strong database knowledge for data storage and retrieval (SQL, NoSQL) Knowledge of libraries like TensorFlow, SciKit and PyTorch for deep learning. The ability to work with large datasets, clean messy data, and preprocess it for analysis. Strong statistical skills for hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other statistical methods. Knowledge of Pandas and NumPy libraries for efficient data manipulation and analysis. Ability to create clear and effective data visualizations for interpretation and communication, using tools such as Matplotlib and Seaborn. Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Version control experience (Git) Proven track record of solving complex problems and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data analysis in a clear and concise manner. Experience with natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs) and computer vision. Quick learner with an ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques. Substantial experience in leading and contributing to complex project work. Understanding of startup culture (desirable).
