NQ Construction Solicitor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction Solicitor to join the Cardiff office of a highly regarded national law firm.
The firm acts for an impressive mix of private and public sector clients and offers junior solicitors access to high-quality national work while remaining part of a collaborative and supportive local team. The Cardiff office continues to grow, providing a strong platform for someone looking to develop their profile and build a long-term career in construction law.
The role can accommodate a newly qualified solicitor or someone with up to two years’ PQE. Applications are particularly encouraged from candidates who have completed a construction, projects, commercial litigation or relevant real estate seat during their training contract.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, appointments, warranties and related project documentation.
- Supporting clients with construction disputes, adjudications and other forms of dispute resolution.
- Advising developers, contractors, consultants, public sector bodies and other project stakeholders.
- Working alongside experienced construction solicitors on complex regional and national matters.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and contributing to business development activity.
Qualifications
- Be a qualified solicitor at NQ-2 years’ PQE.
- Have completed a seat or gained experience in construction, projects, commercial litigation, real estate or another closely related practice area.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a specialist career in construction law.
- Have strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- Be comfortable working collaboratively across different teams and offices.
- Take a proactive approach to professional development and client service.
