About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our busy Key Stage 1 class from January 2026 to July 2026 to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support high-quality learning and provide a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to achieve their best. The role also includes lunchtime duties - setting up the hall, supervising pupils and leading fun, engaging playtime games.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who:
1. Is a team player with a positive attitude and a caring, nurturing approach.
2. Has experience of working with primary-aged pupils, ideally within Key Stage 1.
3. Can confidently lead small group interventions and provide targeted support.
4. Is energetic, flexible and able to build strong, positive relationships with children and colleagues.
5. Brings enthusiasm and creativity to lunchtime and playground activities.
Desirable:
6. Knowledge and experience of phonics.
7. A relevant Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
Hours
8. 8:45am - 1:15pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
