Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Your new company, Hays Accountancy & Finance, is recruiting a Finance Business Partner on behalf of our client, an organization supporting individuals and families living with disabilities, autism, and brain injuries.
Role Overview: This role is crucial in ensuring organizational effectiveness, compliance with reporting requirements, and supervising various finance functions, including management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Staff development and mentoring are key aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to Finance Improvement Plans for services.
2. Assist with grant applications and claims, and support grant and verification audits.
3. Lead supplier contract reviews and renewals, including tender processes.
4. Prepare monthly management accounts reports, including variance analysis.
5. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
6. Provide project management support.
7. Ensure compliance with statutory returns (e.g., Companies House, Charity Commission).
8. Promote GDPR compliance and cybersecurity within the department.
9. Line management and staff training, supporting and mentoring staff.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, or ACCA).
2. Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance function within a large, diverse organization.
3. Experience in management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting.
4. Knowledge of ISO systems or other quality management systems.
Desirable: Experience with grant funding, managing and mentoring staff.
