Ever thought about turning your passion for supporting young people into a career that inspires and empowers? As a Youth Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of student life — sparking curiosity, building confidence and helping learners develop the skills and independence they need to thrive.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
* Promote positive behaviour, punctuality and engagement through induction, enrichment and themed activities.
* Support and challenge students to uphold our College values and manage low-level behavioural issues in line with policy.
* Provide advice and support on behaviour and conduct, working closely with curriculum teams, Security and Student Liaison Officers.
* Manage a small caseload of ‘at-risk’ students, monitoring attendance and progress to ensure success.
* Build relationships with students through daily youth work and enrichment activities, creating safe, inclusive social spaces.
* Plan and deliver events and activities that support personal development and wellbeing.
* Liaise with staff and support teams to identify barriers to success and signpost students to appropriate help.
