We are undertaking an Asset Lifecycle transformation to optimize our operating model across the Group, aiming to increase our Asset Management maturity. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Asset Management Project Manager to join our team and help drive this change.
The role will be part of the Asset Management programme team, reporting to the Head of Asset Lifecycle Programme. The responsibilities include enhancing Asset Management practices across Tesco, transforming how our Asset Management Policy and Strategy influence maintenance regimes, asset planning, and KPI and risk frameworks, as well as developing a more mature operating model, including system changes within key lifecycle areas such as maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management, project management, and excellent leadership skills.
* Project management of key Asset Management documentation development, including Asset Class Strategies, Maintenance Strategies, and a Group Asset Hierarchy for technical and structural assets.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop an Asset Management Performance framework.
* Work with the Property Risk Manager to develop an Asset Management Risk Framework.
* Refine and develop processes to increase Asset Management Maturity.
* Build foundational Asset Management knowledge within the Property organization.
* Support creation of data requirements with process and Data teams.
* Co-design and embed effective Asset Management processes and governance.
* Manage associated asset management projects, including operating model development and system transformation.

* Technical background in Engineering or Maintenance.
* Expertise in Asset Management principles, including standards like IAM’s Conceptual Model, GFMAM’s 39 subjects, and ISO55000 series.
* Experience in designing and implementing successful Asset Management change in other organizations.
* Proven ability to author good practice Asset Management documentation.
* Understanding of how Asset Management documentation informs maintenance, data hierarchies, and information strategies.
* Experience working in Infrastructure organizations, with knowledge of asset lifecycle phases and enablers like Asset Information & Risk.
* Experience in training and upskilling teams in Asset Management principles.
* Strong stakeholder management skills across functions and regions.
* Self-motivated with the ability to lead change with limited supervision.
* Experience designing and delivering operating model and system changes within Asset Management environments.
