Purpose
The Health & Safety Risk Administrator will play a key role in supporting the Health and Safety team in maintaining and enhancing the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) systems—specifically through the oversight of site-wide risk assessments.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in Health & Safety within a manufacturing (FMCG) environment and a passion for promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Tasks & responsibilities (not limited to)
* Oversee and maintain the site’s Risk Assessment Register, ensuring it remains accurate and up to date.
* Support departments across the site in completing and reviewing their own risk assessments, providing guidance and clarification where needed.
* Coordinate and track the risk assessment review cycle, ensuring assessments are completed within required timelines.
* Liaise with departmental risk assessors to follow up on outstanding assessments and gather necessary updates or feedback.
* Assist in identifying gaps or inconsistencies in risk assessments and work with departments to ensure corrective actions are taken.
* Maintain clear and accurate records of assessment statuses and associated actions using appropriate tracking systems.
* Promote best practices in risk assessment processes and encourage continuous improvement across all departments.
* Work collaboratively with the Health & Safety team to ensure risk assessments align with company policies, legal requirements, and safety standards.
Education / Experience:
* IOSH Qualification
* Worked in manufacturing environment with exposure to H&S Risk Assessment processes preferred (FMCG, Packaging, Plastics or similar)
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and Word.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive in approach.
