Position: Talent Acquisition Consultant
Location: Basingstoke or Dorking — 3 days per week (with hybrid working)
Reporting To: Head of Talent Acquisition
Due to internal progression, the Talent Acquisition team at Unum UK are looking for a fourth member of our team. As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will be responsible for partnering with the business to understand their needs. You will use a variety of innovative and traditional sourcing strategies to deliver top talent, who want to be a part of our journey in delivering business growth. To start with you will be hiring into our Customer Service teams, so knowledge of cohort volume hiring or experience within Customer Service, with a passion to learn would be ideal. Responsibilities
* Your stakeholder engagement skills. You will need to pro-actively partner with the business and work with them to understand the challenges and opportunities within their areas. You’ll be able to influence stakeholders to try new and different recruitment strategies, and most importantly you will keep your stakeholders up to date.
* Your recruiting abilities. Your direct sourcing skills will be top notch (or you won’t be afraid to learn, which includes being proactive and jumping on the phone) and you’ll be able to develop creative ways of recruiting hard to fill roles. You will also have fantastic organisation skills, being able to juggle many tasks at once and be delivery focused. You’ll also be able to demonstrate how you’ve considered I&D and supported Early Talent into the workplace.
* Your systems adoption. You will need to be able to use systems, data and AI tools. These will be crucial to your day to day role.
* Alongside all of that you will be someone who is passionate and takes initiative of their own work and development. You will be a team player, who has a fresh perspective of doing things better, to lead on improvement projects alongside your day job.
* As a team we typically collaborate in the Basingstoke and Dorking offices several times a month, travel to both sites will be required.
Requirements
* Knowledge of cohort volume hiring or experience within Customer Service, with a passion to learn would be ideal.
* Stakeholder engagement skills to pro-actively partner with the business and work with them to understand challenges and opportunities.
* Ability to influence stakeholders to try new and different recruitment strategies and keep stakeholders up to date.
* Direct sourcing skills or willingness to learn, including being proactive and using the phone.
