A respected Further Education college in Northampton is looking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Plumbing Lecturer to join its Construction and Building Services team. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on learners preparing for careers in the plumbing and heating industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and practical lessons across a range of Plumbing qualifications (Levels 1-3)
Teach both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in line with industry standards and awarding body requirements
Support student progress through effective planning, assessment, and feedback
Promote safe working practices and help maintain high-quality workshop environments
Take part in curriculum development and contribute to department-wide improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Plumbing or a closely related discipline
A recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one)
Current industry experience or previous teaching/training experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners
A commitment to helping students progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further study
Desirable:
Experience working within an FE or training environment
Assessor or IQA qualifications
