Senior Clinical Support Worker required to join our Outpatient team!

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in the Outpatient Department, caring for children aged 0-18 across Sheffield Children's Hospital, Northern General, Ryegate Assessment Unit, Centenary House, and the new NCCHT building which is due to open in 2026.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with children and families. Our clinics cover different specialties, focusing on family-centered care in partnership with parents and the healthcare team.

You will assess patients, plan care, and support a safe, effective environment. You will also assist with clerical tasks, stock maintenance, and equipment management.

Previous paediatric experience and an NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare (working towards Level 3) are desirable. You'll develop practical nursing skills under the guidance of qualified paediatric nurses.

We offer part-time and full-time hours, with clinics running primarily Monday-Friday between 8 am and 6 pm, along with some evening and weekend shifts.

If you're passionate about making a difference in children's healthcare, we'd love to hear from you!

* Help with assessments, venepuncture, and blood glucose monitoring.
* Help maintain a safe environment through equipment checks, cleaning, and patient transfers.
* Support families, especially in distressing situations, and assist with communication.
* Participate in departmental tasks, including stocking, filing, and maintaining cleanliness.
