The Role The successful candidate will deliver dynamic Science lessons, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and practical skills. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination specifications. Teaching across multiple key stages, including preparation for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Supporting practical experiments, demonstrations, and investigations safely and effectively. Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress. Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development. Supporting STEM clubs, enrichment activities, and school events. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Science (specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is advantageous). Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities. Knowledge of practical Science safety and health procedures.
