We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our Learning Support Department and ASD Resource. This role involves teaching young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), requiring a commitment to ensuring students make good progress through engaging, creative, and stimulating teaching.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, resource, and deliver tailored curriculum lessons to students with additional learning needs who may not fully access the core mainstream curriculum.
* Supervise the work of teaching assistants assigned to support lessons.
* Complete Exam Access Arrangements for relevant students and submit supporting evidence to exam boards.
* Ensure the learning and achievement of all students in assigned classes, maintaining high standards in work and conduct.
* Build respectful relationships with students, treating them with dignity and observing professional boundaries.
* Collaborate effectively with parents/carers, colleagues, and external agencies to promote students' best interests.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
