QA Engineer

Are you early in your Quality or QHSE career and looking for a role where you can genuinely develop, gain exposure to complex engineering projects, and progress into more senior Quality or QHSE positions?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy engineering environment where you’ll work closely with experienced QA, QC and QHSE professionals, gaining hands-on experience across inspection, compliance, supplier quality and continuous improvement. You’ll be supported, trained and encouraged to grow with clear scope to take on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence develop.
The Role You’ll play a key part in supporting Quality Assurance and QHSE activities across engineering, production and supply chain functions. This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure to real-world quality challenges and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing and following up Supplier Corrective Action Reports to drive improvements across the supply chain
2. Supporting the identification, documentation and resolution of non-conformities and customer complaints
3. Assisting with Root Cause Analysis and corrective action implementation
4. Supporting inspection and compliance verification of received goods
5. Collecting quality data and supporting trend analysis to improve finished goods quality
6. Assisting with internal audits, QHSE tours and continuous improvement activities
7. Supporting supplier approvals, performance monitoring and vendor appraisals
8. Producing and maintaining key Quality and QHSE documentation (e.g. Quality Plans, ITPs, certification dossiers)
9. Supporting calibration systems, welding records and external standards registers
10. Liaising closely with Engineers, Production, Projects and Dispatch to resolve quality issues efficiently
11. Providing guidance on QHSE matters and supporting the training of new or junior team members
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with a strong interest in Quality and Engineering, who wants to build a long-term career in this space.
You’ll ideally have:
12. Experience or knowledge of inspecting electrical and/or mechanical products
13. Exposure to regulated industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical or similar
14. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
15. Awareness or working knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, ATEX / IECEx, ASME and PED
16. Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
17. A proactive, professional approach and willingness to learn
