Job overview:
We're looking for two dedicated Counter Fraud Investigators to join AXA's Commercial team in Haverhill or Bolton on a full-time, permanent basis. Your main role will be to manage complex commercial motor or casualty fraud investigations from start to finish, using best practices and fraud intelligence to get the best results for AXA and our customers. You'll also support the team by coaching claims handlers, giving feedback to improve fraud detection, and working with internal and external partners to identify and reduce fraud within our guidelines. If you have experience in managing motor or casualty claims, with a solid understanding of claims reserving and assessment techniques together with keen interest in fraud investigation, we'd love to hear from you
Key responsibilities:
Detect, defend and deter claims fraud against AXA to include suppliers, customers and third parties, acting individually or in concert as organised fraudsters.
Manage a portfolio of suspected fraudulent claims from start to finish, gathering sound evidence to ensure the right outcomes within authority limits.
Assist police in criminal prosecutions by preparing statements in accordance with relevant legislation and present evidence in court where required.
Follow all service standards, procedures, claims protocols, and SLAs in your area during investigations.
Provide coaching, feedback, and training to both Fraud and Non-Fraud handlers to improve detection and technical skills.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
Your skills & experience:
Proven track record in motor or casualty claims is essential.
In-depth knowledge of the entire claims process, including quantum assessment, reserving and assessment methods.
Sound understanding of insurance principles, relevant legislation, case law, products, policies, and claims philosophy.
Well-versed in legal liability, litigation approaches, and tactics for customer and third-party claims.
Excellent planning and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a perceptive approach.
Counter fraud experience would be highly advantageous.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
