About the Job
As a Senior Supervisor, you will provide a high quality, customer and quality focused service through the supervision of a team of skilled trade operatives delivering a range of contracted services for and behalf the London Borough of Hounslow.
You will oversee and supervise supervisor(s) and or trade operatives and offer guidance where necessary to support those in the field and in supervisory/managerial positions. You will be part of a team of supervisors that delivers exceptional performance through a team of engaged and high performing employees.
To always understand and comply with all Health and safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Supervision & Coordination: Lead and manage voids supervisors and support teams (planners), contractors, and trades to ensure timely completion of void works.
* Reviewing and streamline internal voids processes to ensure efficient delivery
* To deputise, in meetings and prepping key documents to support and work alongside Service Manager as required.
* Manage and support supervisors in any performance conduct or absence issues in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
* Identify opportunities to enhance operational performance and customer excellence through continuous improvement of processes, procedures and systems.
* To work with other areas within the business and effectively allocate and schedule labour where it is most needed.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all void works comply with health and safety regulations and the empty home standard.
* To liaise, communicate and work with other stakeholders, including but not limited to: client representatives, suppliers, contractors, colleagues, residents and others as required.
* Ensuring complaints/escalations are responded to by supervisors within KPI timeframes.
* Ensuring support teams maintain accurate records of inspections, works (WIP), and material spend/costs, providing reports to senior management as and when requested.
* Responsible for a company vehicle that transports tools and materials and any compliance related processes for that vehicle
* Responsible for ensuring operatives' company vehicles are clean and maintained in accordance with Fleet requirements.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork/electronic updates including reporting incidents, return to work, within agreed timescales.
* To display a high level of customer care when dealing with enquiries from residents and contribute positively towards a high-quality customer focused service.
Experience and Qualifications required
* Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ 2-3 equivalent relevant experience.
* Must have at least 3 years' experience in a voids supervisory or management role.
* Working knowledge of statutory legislation with regards to health & safety and to understand the need to follow rigorous risk assessment and method statement procedures.
* Evidence of meeting pre-determined deadlines and performance targets.
* Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates.
* Previous experience of working in a Social Housing is desirable.
* Good level of numeracy, literacy, written, oral and communication skills
* Proficiency in **property management software** and MS Office.
* Excellent and team management skills.
* Experience of working within a customer facing role, delivering a outstanding customer experience
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to properties daily around the borough as required
