The People team plays a central role in supporting leaders, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
Your new role
As an ER Partner, the successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end employee relations case management across a designated region, while also supporting wider business needs as required. Reporting into a senior ER lead, the role will work closely with line managers, HR Business Partners, People Services, and union representatives to provide robust, timely, and legallypliant ER advice.
This role will involve managingplex and senior-level ER cases, contributing to the development of ER operating models, policies, and reporting, and coaching managers to build confidence and capability in handling people issues. There may also be responsibility for developing and supporting an ER Advisor, as well as involvement in employment tribunal and early conciliation cases.The position operates on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week on site or in the office.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, candidates will need:
1. Significant, hands-on experience managing a wide range of ER cases end to end
2. A strong and current working knowledge of UK employment law
3. Excellentmunication and influencing skills, with the ability to advise and challenge at all levels
4. Proven experience working autonomously, prioritising a varied workload, and meeting tight deadlines
5. Strong judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance risk, facts, andmercial impact
6. High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive matters
7. The confidence to coach and develop line managers, improving ER capability across the business
