A major expansion and renovation project, in excess of £80 million, has begun at the multi-award-winning The Belfry Hotel & Resort in West Midlands. The impressive project, due for completion Autumn 2025, will see a flagship 852sqm event space, The Masters Suite, built and designed to host 648 guests for banqueting with a max capacity of 920, making it perfect for conferences and product launches, mini expos and weddings. The Events Sales Team

About you
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mid to large hotel sales team and possess excellent verbal & written communication skills.
In addition, you will be:
· Methodical - accurate & ability to work on own initiative, with outstanding attention to detail.
· Computer literate, with experience of hotel PMS. i.e. Delphi & Opera.
· Sales focused and enthusiastic, with excellent customer service skills.
· Flexible and capable of working well within a team.
About the Role
As a Corporate Banquet Sales Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team to achieve their targets in line with budget. The successful applicant will support the team by undertaking day to day enquiry handling and event co-ordination, ensuring The Belfry standards are maintained.
In this role you will be responsible for the booking and planning of Weddings, Social Events, and Corporate Dinners. You will be contracted for 40 hours per week, including 2 Saturdays per month.
You will also be responsible for:
* Following the hotel sales process, hotel show rounds and sales efforts, customer entertaining, forecasting and space release policy, event management procedures and policies, billing policies are correct and followed
* Directly answering all incoming group enquiries/opportunities.
* Being the point of contact with the customer for all pre planning details.
* Creating event function sheets to ensure clients requirements are accurately documented and distributed to the wider resort
* General call handling to discuss event details including using questioning techniques and handling objections
* Conducting face to face site visits/menu tastings and final detail calls
* Booking and attending client pre & post event meetings
* Delivering exceptional customer service to all clients at all times
* Building and maintaining client relationships
* Undertaking day to day enquiry handling and event co-ordination, ensuring The Belfry standards are maintained
* Communication with the Meeting and Events team to create fantastic experiences
* Achieving individual and team conversion targets
* Arranging and conducting show arounds, showing The Belfry’s facilities to their full potential
