As a Sous Chef, you’ll play a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and leading the team to deliver exceptional quality and consistency. Where You’ll Be Working
Perched at the top of Tankerton Slopes, the Royal serves fresh food and drink with amazing panoramic sea views. The pub’s garden offers one of the best vantage points in the area, boasting magnificent clifftop setting with views across the Thames Estuary. The restaurant is renowned for delicious British dishes, with a raft of delectable daily specials making the most of local ingredients.
What You’ll Do
* Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and team leadership.
* Take responsibility for sections of the kitchen, ensuring dishes meet company standards.
* Mentor and develop junior chefs, fostering a positive and productive environment.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance at all times.
* Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
* Help with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation.
