We are seeking a sporty, enthusiastic Supply Sports Coach to support PE and sports provision within a welcoming secondary school in Cardiff (CF5). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine their fitness expertise with working alongside young people in a school setting. While a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification is desirable, we also welcome sports students and graduates who are working towards or hold sports-related qualifications. The Role As a Sports Coach / Personal Trainer, you will work closely with the school’s qualified PE teacher to support and co-deliver engaging sports and physical education sessions. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting and co-delivering high-quality PE lessons Taking small groups of students into the school gym and ensuring safe, effective use of equipment Leading and assisting with training sessions, practices, and after-school clubs Providing individual and group coaching feedback to improve performance Promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship Supporting classroom learning across general subjects when required Ensuring student safety and maintaining high behaviour standards Assisting with school competitions and sporting events This is more than just coaching — it’s a genuine pathway into education and teaching.
