Up to £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience) | 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to lead a large, established catering operation, managing a team of 15 and delivering high‑quality food across multiple daily service periods.
The Role
As Chef Manager, you will take full responsibility for the catering operation, leading from the front with a hands‑on approach while overseeing planning, compliance, and team performance. You will ensure smooth delivery across all service times and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Service Times:
* Breakfast: 06:00-08:00
* Lunch: 11:30-13:00
* Evening Meal: 17:30-19:30
This role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00, offering strong work‑life balance. However, flexibility is essential, with an expectation to support weekend services and functions as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading, motivating, and developing a team of 15
* Taking a hands‑on role in food production and service delivery
* Managing rotas, labour control, and operational planning
* Overseeing stock management, ordering, and budget control
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety and Health & Safety legislation
* Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement
* Maintaining high standards across breakfast, lunch, and evening service

* Proven experience in a similar Chef Manager or senior catering leadership role
* Strong leadership and people‑management skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Confident managing multiple service periods in a busy environment
* Flexible and proactive approach to meeting business demands
* Passion for delivering high‑quality food and service
