The National Account Commercial Analyst will support the commercial success of GSF’s National Accounts Team by providing detailed analysis, reporting, and insight to improve sales and margin, set customer prices, and produce tenders. Working within the National Accounts Team, this role will work closely with both customers and all business departments including Product, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Branch Operations to optimise account profitability, support negotiations, and identify growth opportunities. About You Key Responsibilities 1.. Pricing & Commercial Support Support development and evaluation of pricing strategies for national customers. Set & maintain customer price files to maintain a competitive market position while identifying opportunities to enhance margin return & ensuring compliance with contracts Produce quotes to support formal tenders Model commercial scenarios to support negotiations including price and rebate proposals Attend customer meetings to provide commercial support to our National Account Managers. Manage & resolve customer price queries Prepare monthly rebate reports for submission to customers Engage with strategic supply partners to ensure commercial agreement in customer propositions Present insights to National Account Managers and senior stakeholders Benchmark performance against industry trends and competitor offerings. 2. National Account Performance Analysis Analyse sales, margin & rebates, for national customers. Analysis of customer product mix to identify opportunities to increase sales and/or margin 3. Business Partnering & Process Development Gain a detailed understanding of the entire order to cash process & use this to identify opportunities to improve performance & make GSF as easy to trade with as possible Be part of project teams to develop & deliver initiatives to improve customer experience and meet contractual requirements & performance targets 4. Tender Submissions Collaborate with other business departments to produce tender responses for National contracts Produce pricing & rebate proposals for approval by Senior Management Key Skills & Qualifications High level of numeracy is essential High attention to detail and accuracy Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance or a similar field Experience in commercial or sales analysis (ideally in automotive, FMCG, retail, or distribution). Strong data analysis, modelling, and Excel skills including the ability to manipulate significant amounts of data using all manner of functions Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data clearly and engage directly with customers & suppliers Strong commercial acumen and understanding of pricing, margins, and customer profitability. Full UK Driving License Preferred Experience Experience supporting national or key accounts. Experience in developing and executing pricing strategies. Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems. Personal Attributes Highly analytical with strong attention to detail. Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work independently. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced commercial environment. Strong stakeholder management skills.
