A leading precision engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting new and existing aerospace and high-precision manufacturing projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Support quality activities across new and existing projects, working closely with customers to understand and meet their requirements
* Produce and review FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) in line with customer and industry standards
* Programme and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for inspection and validation activities
* Generate and maintain detailed inspection reports and quality documentation
* Create and manage ballooned drawings to support inspection processes
* Conduct and support FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) activities
* Liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, procedures, and customer specifications
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Strong working knowledge of FAIR documentation, CMM programming and operation, inspection reporting, FMEA and MSA methodologies, balloon drawing interpretation and creation
* Experience working directly with customers on new project requirements
* Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production, and quality teams
