Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Lead Nurse. Bluebell is a 12-bedded, purpose-built assessment and treatment unit for older people (over 65) experiencing a variety of acute mental health difficulties. We are a dynamic, multidisciplinary team that prioritises patient dignity, safety and therapeutic spaces, and we encourage therapeutic interventions and adherence to national recommendations. We value innovation, teaching and development and welcome candidates who can collaborate with colleagues from different professional backgrounds.
Main duties
* Provide strong clinical leadership, ensuring evidence-based practice is delivered to improve the quality of and shape responsive services.
* Monitor and ensure maintenance of standards of care that support safe, high-quality practice around the clock.
* Support junior colleagues within the multidisciplinary process.
* Supervise and promote staff development. Be part of the Bleep Holder rota.
* Act in a manner consistent with the Trust’s values.

Person Specification
Qualifications/Training Essential: NMC Registered Nurse - RNMH or RNLD; Diploma Level nursing (or equivalent post-qualification education/training); Mentorship. Desirable: Previous relevant experience.
Leadership Skills Essential: Demonstrated leadership, motivation, facilitation and mentorship with up-to-date evidence-based practice; experience in managing and leading a team in challenging clinical situations. Desirable: Ability to work independently; experience leading staff progression and development.
