REPORTS TO: Senior Manager (Clubs & Leagues and Women's & Girls' Cricket)

REMUNERATION: Starting from £24,000 (plus travel expenses)

CONTRACT: Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) (part time and flexible working options could be considered)

ANNUAL LEAVE: 23 days annual leave + bank holidays

LOCATION: The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury – we are a hybrid working office so there will be a blend of office and home working

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a new position within the Community Cricket Team at Kent Cricket. The role will be responsible for two key areas of the recreational game in Kent; developing coaches of the future and managing a thriving club competition programme. This role will have responsibility for administering all the coach development courses in the county, ensuring new coaches have a great experience and are supported to gain accreditations. The role will also be responsible for a range of community club competitions and leagues, ensuring cricketers county wide have a well organised and successful competition for them to enter. More specific duties include:

Leagues and Competitions:

· Responsible for the administration and management of two indoor open age leagues, and two junior leagues taking place at Canterbury & Beckenham

· Work with Club Development Manager to roll out a pilot '30 over' competition in 2026 to a small number of clubs to expand in 2027

· Responsible for the administration and management of the ECB U12 & U14 Club T20 competition and the club U9 & U11 Forty Softball competitions

· Support junior league cricket volunteers to ensure their leagues and competitions are running smoothly

Coach Development Operations:

· Produce Annual Coach Development Plan with Coach Development Manager

· Arrange Foundation Phase Courses as described in Annual Coach Development Plan

o Venue bookings

o Courses added to booking system and website

o Promotion of courses on website and other channels

· Administer Coach Developer allocation to deliver courses

· Administer course communications with learners and coach developers, pre and post courses

· Monitor course completion by learners

· Track budget, income and expenditure

· Administer UKBA Health and Safety Course for overseas players

· Respond to all Coach Development Enquires and issues

· Administer IQA of courses

· Prepare Quarterly Communications with CA network

· Arrange and promote ECB Coach Association workshops

· Support Delivery of Kent Coach Association events

· Ensure compliance of Coach Developer qualifications and risk assessments

· Agree and Administer First Aid Course programme

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

* Effective communicator and the ability to engage with people of all levels

* Ability to plan and organise your own work to achieve desired outcomes

* Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail

* Strong team player with ability to work in a hybrid office environment

* Computer literate and effective user of Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft programmes

* Ability to travel independently between various sites of work

Desirable:

* A passion for sport and supporting young people to develop through sport

* Working knowledge of safeguarding in a sports environment

* Experience of event co-ordination and delivery

* Cricket coaching/officiating/volunteering background or experience
