A specialist engineering contractor delivering projects across the UK water sector is seeking a CAD Technician to join their engineering team based in Loughborough. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of clean water and wastewater projects, supporting design teams with the production of high-quality 2D drawings.
This role is ideal for someone with good AutoCAD experience within construction, mechanical engineering, or infrastructure who is looking to develop their career within a highly essential industry.

Duties for CAD Technician
* Produce high-quality AutoCAD 2D drawings, including layouts, GA drawings, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and lift plan details.
* Carry out site surveys when required and produce or update survey drawings.
* Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients on drawing coordination, technical queries, and model updates.
* Support the transition of 2D AutoCAD drawings into 3D models, working closely with designers and engineers.
* Maintain drawing registers, manage incoming drawings, and ensure outputs meet quality and company standards prior to sign-off.
Qualifications/Experience for CAD / REVIT Technician
* Strong experience using AutoCAD
* Good knowledge of mechanical systems
* Experience producing fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and technical details
* Strong attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* Eligible to work in the UK
