Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Adult Community Learning Disability Team on a permanent, full time basis.
You will be an autonomous qualified physiotherapist providing assessment, treatment planning and interventions for adults with learning disabilities. You will be a member of the North Yorkshire Learning Disability network, working alongside other experienced Physiotherapists in our partnering locality areas. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will work closely with other professions. You will also be expected to lone work in a variety of settings in the community as well as collaboratively with others.
You will need to be HCPC registered.
You will need post qualifying experience in Physiotherapy and experience of working with people with learning disabilities.

Main duties of the job
To provide triage, assessment, care planning, and intervention for people with learning disabilities and complex physiotherapy needs. This may include hydrotherapy, manual handling, postural care, attending wheelchair clinic appointments and other hospital appointments.
To work as a core part of a diverse MDT which includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, psychology, speech and language therapy, and psychiatry.
To build and maintain relationships with mainstream physiotherapy services, providing health interventions and reasonable adjustments to ensure people with learning disabilities can access their services wherever possible.
To be involved in the ongoing development of Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Community Learning Disability Team, it's pathways and provision.
To be part of the wider North Yorkshire Learning Disability physiotherapy network which includes Harrogate and District, Hambleton and Richmondshire, York and Selby. There is an expectation that on occasion it may be necessary to cross cover and/or engage in joint working with our colleagues in the other locality areas.

1. Appropriate professional qualification in physiotherapy role
2. Current relevant registration with specific regulatory body
3. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) level 7 (SLT =8) for International recruits
