As we scale globally, we’re looking for an experienced Information Security Officer / Data Protection Officer to strengthen our security posture and play a key role in our next phase of growth.
The Role
This is a standout opportunity to join a fast-paced, mission-driven tech-for-good company. You’ll own and lead our information security function, act as our official Data Protection Officer, and work closely with senior leadership to design and deliver best-in-class security practices.
You’ll drive ISO 27001 alignment, maintain our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, support client DPIAs, and ensure our global operations remain secure and compliant across the UK, US, and Australia.
What You’ll Do
* Lead information security across the organisation
* Act as the official Data Protection Officer
* Develop and maintain ISO 27001-aligned security policies
* Manage Cyber Essentials Plus renewals
* Work with DevOps/SysOps to secure infrastructure and networks
* Deliver cyber security training and internal awareness programmes
* Support client DPIA requirements and external stakeholder requests
* Manage risk, incident response, and vendor security
* Coordinate penetration testing and OWASP activities
What You Bring
* Strong understanding of GDPR and data protection
* Solid knowledge of ISO 27001
* Experience acting as a DPO or leading data protection initiatives
* Ability to write clear, accessible policies
* Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills
* Experience delivering security awareness and training
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
* Experience in risk and incident management
