Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare correspondence and documents through digital dictation, word processing and be IT literate, and be able to work as part of a team but also under your own initiative.
* Initial enquiries on sale and purchase files
* Due Diligence in relation to AML obligations and risk management
* Obtaining all required documentation from client and other side and liaising with third party providers such as HMLR, Search Providers and Lenders
* Drafting sale contracts and re-mortgage documentation as required by Fee Earners
* Regular updates to client on progress of matter and dealing with ad-hoc enquiries from clients, Estate Agents and third parties
* Word processing of documents and correspondence as directed by Fee Earners
* Utilise the LEAP Case Management system in the creation and management of client files
* The role involves working for the fee earners and supporting them by performing various administrative duties: typing legal documents and correspondence, answering the phones, organising diaries, maintaining organised files, communicating with clients, and answering simple enquiries.
* Assisting Fee Earners with financial duties (e.g. inputting time recording, preparing bills, checking levels of work in progress and completion statements)
* Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the office manual.
* Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch.
* Flexible to cover other legal secretaries around the team.
* Ad hoc duties when required.
