Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to food production excellence. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food preparation and kitchen operations while supervising the kitchen staff to ensure a harmonious and efficient working environment.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef and senior sous in managing kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining high standards of performance.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests.
* Familiarity with various cooking styles and cuisines is an advantage.
