Job Title: Childrens Home Registered Manager 12-Month Maternity Cover
Location: Bluebell House, Walsall
Salary:up to £50k (dependent on experience)
Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months (maternity cover) with a strong possibility to move into permanent within the company
start date - December 2025 preferably
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Childrens Home Registered Manager to lead Bluebell House for a 12-month maternity cover. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, and drive high standards of care for our children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and support a multi-disciplinary team to deliver outstanding care.
* Maintain compliance with Ofsted, and relevant statutory frameworks.
* Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and progress of children in line with care plans and individual needs.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and development plans for the home.
* Lead staff recruitment, training, supervision, and appraisal.
* Build strong relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies.
* Monitor and manage budgets and resources effectively.
* Prepare reports for internal management and regulatory inspections.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent) in health and social care.
* Previous experience managing a childrens residential home.
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in the best interests of children.
Desirable:
* Experience managing services for children with learning or physical disabilities.
* Knowledge of local authority commissioning and care standards.
