Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that our guests receive high-quality dishes in a timely manner. This position requires a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to prepare food items.
* Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the head chef.
* Help with menu planning and special requests from guests when necessary.
Skills
* Proven experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
