Job Description
3. Assist in the development and execution of category strategies.
4. Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
5. Support supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes.
6. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements.
8. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
9. Provide regular reporting and updates on category performance.
10. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Category Manager should have:
11. A strong background in Procurement, preferably Indirect Procurement
12. Financial services experience is a bonus but is not essential.
13. Proven ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
14. Experience in supplier management and contract negotiations.
15. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
16. Knowledge of procurement policies and best practices.
17. A proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
