Are you a Band 7 Non-Medical Prescriber looking to work in a supportive and established team? We want you to join our Poole CAMHS and Bournemouth & Christchurch CAMHS, working in a split-post across both sites with the expectation to work on-site within both teams.
Service Description
Poole CAMHS and Bournemouth & Christchurch CAMHS are multi-disciplinary teams that work with children and young people aged 0 - 18 years. There are professionals from a range of backgrounds in each team, including Psychiatry, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work and CBT/IPT-A therapists. The service is entering an exciting period of growth, with new investments and initiatives underway. This role will evolve alongside the development of our service; initially, you may support existing teams while new structures are implemented.
Responsibilities
* To independently prescribe medication for the treatment of mental illness and associated symptoms.
* To provide advice to clinicians in General practice and other areas of practice, when required, on the management of mental health problems, including the prescription of medication.
* To play a lead role in the provision of high quality clinical care and the maintenance of high professional standards in the locality.
* To undertake the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for individuals experiencing serious mental health problems who are referred to CAMHS.
