Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with welcoming and inclusive primary schools in and around Southampton to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time role, starting as soon as possible.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional learning needs. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
* Planning and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
* Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
* Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and wider school staff
* Creating a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a real difference.
You will ideally have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with pupils with SEN or additional needs (desirable but not essential)
* A strong understanding of differentiated and inclusive teaching strategies
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
Safeguarding
* An Enhanced Child Only DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel
