Purpose of the role
We are seeking a highly organised and driven individual to lead the successful planning and execution of a critical office and manufacturing site relocation. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract where you'll be responsible for delivering a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
The role demands a detail-oriented leader with strong stakeholder management skills, experience in coordinating complex logistical moves, and a solid understanding of both office and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end project management for the relocation of office and manufacturing facilities - planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and delivery.
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring all activities stay on track and within scope.
* Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, IT, Facilities, HR, Manufacturing, etc.) to define requirements and manage dependencies.
* Engage and manage external suppliers and contractors, including movers, fit-out providers, engineers, and regulatory consultants.
* Identify potential risks and implement contingency plans to mitigate disruption to operations.
* Oversee the decommissioning of current facilities and ensure smooth set-up and operational readiness at the new site.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety, regulatory, and environmental standards during the move.
* Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
* Manage budgets and cost control to ensure financial efficiency of the move.
* Lead or support change management and internal communications related to the move, ensuring teams are well informed and engaged.
Key Deliverables / KPIs
* Timely completion of project milestones (design, construction, move-in, commissioning, etc.).
* Zero or minimal downtime during the move.
* Delivery within agreed budget and scope.
* High stakeholder satisfaction and engagement.
* Risk and compliance management throughout the relocation process is important.
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven experience delivering complex relocation projects, ideally involving both office and manufacturing environments.
* Strong project management skills, with relevant qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
* Excellent organisational and planning abilities with sharp attention to detail.
* Effective stakeholder and vendor management experience.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and collaborate at all levels.
* Sound understanding of facilities, infrastructure, and operational workflows.
* Confident in managing budgets, contracts, and logistics.
* Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
